I became an undergraduate Berklee College of Music student in 2017, but I had very little experience with music. I use to take singing lessons and perform while taking showers, and before deciding to cross the ocean and live this experience; I was already accepted with a scholarship at a college in London for psychology and political science. Of course, I felt many times an outsider at the beginning because when you love art so much and you realize your not exactly exceeding in it, it’s not amazing. After I entered the Pletenitsa Balkan Choir directed by Christiane Karam, that feeling began to go away. Performing Middle Eastern Music was very empowering for me, as it opened doors to magnificent opportunities within the Berklee bubble and outside; specifically in New York City, Broadway at the Paul Winter’s Solstice Festival in 2018, various Middle Eastern festivals at Berklee with composer Tigran Hamasyan and Vadim Neselovskyi, and an album with Casalimòn. In 2019 I participated as a singer in the Balkan Voices of DR. Stone Manga Netflix Anime, very famous in Japan.
